Fratelli Cosulich is honored to be appointed in March 2021 as new agent in Italy of German shipping company MACS (Maritime Carrier Shipping Gmbh & co) based in Hamburg.
MACS is a family company, founded in 1970, playing an important role in the project and break-bulk shipping industry.
MACS will benefit from Fratelli Cosulich long standing experience and knowledge in Italian markets developing their conventional and container business between Italy and other European locations with Namibia, South Africa and Mozambique markets.
Rotation
From LA SPEZIA, GENOA, SALERNO in transhipment via LEIXOES from/to SOUTH AFRICA PORTS: WALVIS BAY, CAPE TOWN, PORT ELIZABETH, DURBAN RICHARD BAY, MAPUTO and feeders services to other MOZAMBICO PORTS

SERVICE PATTERN
MACS offers three different services and Fratelli Cosulich activity is mainly focused on their EUROPE/AFRICA service, operating the following rotation Rotterdam - Hamburg - Immingham - Antwerp - Bilbao - Leixoes - Walvis Bay - Cape Town - Port Elizabeth - Durban - Richards Bay and Maputo, with further transhipment connections to other ports such as Nacala, Pemba and Palma.
FLEET
MACS fleet is composed by Multipurpose Container VESSELS, capable to handle every type of cargo thanks to vessel gears providing up to 200/240 tons heavy lift capacity.
CARGO AND CONTAINER
MACS in addition to break bulk can handle containerized cargo thanks to their own container fleet, composed by standard, open top, flatrack and reefers units.
COMMERCIAL
Fratelli Cosulich has a deep knowledge of Italian market and their offices have daily contact with various freight forwarders controlling both break-bulk conventional cargo and containers, shipped between Europe and Southern Africa. MACS can take advantage of Fratelli Cosulich know-how and a wide range of services that Group's companies provide.
Fratelli Cosulich activity is mainly focused to connect Italian ports to MACS service via transshipment ports in Portugal.
